Light Up the Night at Peachland's Family Glow Run

On Friday, September 27th, Heritage Park transforms into a lively scene where participants of all ages can enjoy a 5K run or a 3K walk or run along Beach Ave, complete with glowing attire and energetic vibes.

Check-In and Start Time
Check-in for Peachland's Family Glow Run begins at Heritage Park from 6:15 pm to 7:00 pm, so plan to arrive early. The run itself kicks off at 7:15 pm, giving you enough time to get your glow on and warm up.
Route Information
The scenic route along Beach Ave offers beautiful views of Okanagan Lake. For the 3K route, you'll start at Heritage Park, follow Beach Ave, make a U-turn at 12th Street, and head back. For the 6K route, you simply complete a second lap of the 3K course. Remember to keep to the lakeside of the road for the best experience.
Dress Code and What to Expect
Glow and Go
This event is all about having fun, so bring out your brightest and boldest attire. Think 1980s workout gear, neon colours, and lots of glow sticks. Lace up your running or walking shoes and get ready to light up the night.
Family-Friendly Activities
Before the race, enjoy free games, face painting, and popcorn. There’s also a photo/selfie station to capture the fun, and dance music to keep the energy high. The night wraps up with a special performance by the Kinshira Fire Dancers at 8:15 pm.

You can pre-register online, by phone, or in person at the Peachland Community Centre. Fees vary depending on age and registration date:
Adults (13+):
- $13 from Aug 17-Sep 1
- $15 from Sep 2-22
- $20 from Sep 23-29 (cash only on event day)
Children (6-12):
- $6 from Aug 17-Sep 1
- $8.5 from Sep 2-22
- $10 from Sep 23-29 (cash only on event day)
Children under 6: Free, but registration is still required
On-the-Day Registration
Day-of registrations are accepted with cash only. Make sure to bring your completed waiver or informed consent form to save time.
Safety and Rules
Waivers and Consent
All participants need to complete the necessary paperwork. Adults (19+) must sign a waiver, while participants under 19 require a signed informed consent form from a parent or guardian. You can print and fill out these forms in advance to streamline your check-in process.
Children's Participation
Children 12 years or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Those aged 6-12 can participate in the 3K category without an adult.
The History of the Glow Run
Since its inception in 2015, the Glow Run has grown from 42 participants its first year to what is now a very popular event. Created to bring families together during the shoulder season, it has quickly become a highlight on Peachland’s event calendar.
